Checkers - 4400 Curry Ford Rd - Orlando, FL - 32812
There have been things I didn't care for at this location in the past, like fries being turned over in the bag, an apple pie that was broken apart in the bag, and even milkshakes that tasted like chemicals but that wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back.
There is a passive aggressive heavyset Latino male that works there, he was courteous when he spoke to me but he'd give me my change immediately followed up by the food. I couldn't just throw my change on the floor or stuff it in a cup holder to grab the bag. So on two occasions he backed away from the window and would have another worker take over saying "Here finish this he's taking too long". I can hear this, and he knew I could hear it, which was extremely rude of him to say. I went another day and he said it again, so I made a complaint. The day prior to this, I bought shakes from the location that had a chemical taste. I took them back, another manager apologized and said that the staff from the night shift didn't clean the machine properly and left cleaner inside. I didn't call management based on the chemical flavored milkshakes, but I brought it after the heavyset Latino male said what he said again. I believe he was a manager or at least a supervisor.
I went back another day, which was my last time going there. I ordered a medium sweet tea and this same heavyset Latino male was doing the order, gave me my food and my tea. I get close to home and the light changed, so while waiting for the greenlight I put in my straw to get a sip. This guy mixed fruit punch in with my sweet tea. That wasn't an honest mistake and he won't be getting the benefit of the doubt from me, because the tea is on a separate unit but at the same time no one with a working set of eyes would mix drinks on the same fountain unless its intentional.
I won't be going back there, because if he has no problem messing around with my drink, then he'd have no problem messing around with my food either and both are equally bad. That's money down the drain and I am not a fan of wasting money. I did not receive a response from Checkers based on this situation. I don't know the reason behind it or if he was jealous but that's not part of the job description, and that's not how you maintain business or increase it for that matter. This guy is earning a living in a place where he's disrespectful to a customer, and as a result he lost a customer for good.
I was a respectful paying customer and I got disrespect in return.
Thumbs down.
Burger King - 2222 S Semoran Blvd - Orlando FL - 32822
I went to this Burger King location close to lunch time (10:50am or so on 04.26.2018), and I went to the drive-thru. I pull up at the order box in the drive-thru and heard "Carajo", which is f*ck in Spanish. (I looked up the definition when I got home.) I thought it was weird, but I made my order.
I pull around to the order window, and there was a slender latina at the window, a bit on the shorter side. She spoke to me, gave me my order after I paid and I was about to pull off. Everything seemed cordial, but I heard her yell really loud "CACA!" and I turned my head and saw her yelling that in my direction. That means "Poop" in Spanish.
I immediately pulled around to the store's parking lot again, so that I could call corporate. I spoke to a guy named, Arly. I let him know asap because I wanted them to jump on that immediately to see the tape.
What she did was highly uncalled for. That's disrespectful not only to me, the paying customer, that's disrespectful to the company and its bad for business. I was cordial, they can use the audio if there is any to prove that. Her job doesn't require her to shout obscenities at customers, but she did it to me, a paying customer that contributes to the ability for the company to give her a paying job. I don't know how many other customers she's treated this way, but one is enough because that sort of behavior can lead to a sinking ship. She's bad for business, and I told Arly I'm not going back. The only way I might is if I get an outcome that pleases me, there are more than enough restaurants in the area.
Thumbs Down.
